• Background

Give a biography of…
· … their childhood: Yoruko was a spider born to her loving mother and a father that was soon murdered by the former. This was only natural... seeing as the mother was a black widow spider. They were Jorogumo, powerful youkai that were essentially spiders with the power to shapeshift into stunningly beautiful women. They were incredibly rare and could only recieve the powers if they are born a Joroguno, or they are born a spider that miraculously lives for 400 years. The only way to kill one is to drown it in female human blood while it is in spider form, or have it starve to death from a lack of male blood.

The mother (named Oka)'s great-great grandmother founded the Nagamitsu family. The family originally started out exclusively with Jorogumos. However, slowly as generations passed and daughters had daughters that had daughters that had daughters, the Jorogumo bloodline began to die out.

Oka was a nurturing parent that loved Yoruko deeply. Yoruko was raised to always stay in human form whenever possible so that they weren't as vulnerable and so they wouldn't get discovered, and to murder anyone who accuses or suspects them for their own good. If youkai were discovered they were slaughtered.

Yoruko was not sexually mature and instead fed on the male blood her mother set aside for her. Oka tragically died when she underfed herself to feed Yoruko.

Yoruko was 384 when Oka passed away. She was taken in by her relatives in Owarisashi Town and was then the only pure-blood Jorogumo left. Although deeply prized for being a pure-blood youkai that was born a very rare kind of species, it was tradition that the eldest daughter of that generation be the heiress to the Nagamitsu family no matter how vile and tyrannical. Nagamitsu Yonaka was older by a mere 4 years.

They had a very bitter relationship. Yoruko was jealous of Yonaka and resentful that such an immature brat would ever be allowed to lead the family. Yonaka was disgusted by Yoruko and wanted to do everything in her power to protect the the throne... even if it meant killing her own sibling. Unsuccessfully the older sister attempted murder in dozens of different ways... but killing a Jorogumo is not so easy.

Besides this, Yoruko was pampered and loved in the Nagamitsu Manor. Her irresistible charm and superficial beauty surpassed even the most stunning of Kijo.

She later began to attend Hatsuharu Academy as a first-year student, with Yonaka. They were forced to pretend to be twin sisters since they began attending at the same time.
